In Civics, we somehow got from womans suffrage to the Vietnam War ( ... :S it just happens in my class) and apparently there was a force in Vietnam called the Tiger Force. I was sitting with my friends Kyle and Gareth; Kyle was wearing his TA shirt and Gareth starts giggling like an idiot. I suspect it has something to do with the whole 'force, army' thing. He said that a movie about the 'Tiger Force' would be a 'totally rad movie that I would so shell out $8.50 for'.
So we ended up coming up with a really stupid movie plot even though we really should have been studying Nellie McClung. It was Gareth who suggested it should star Tiger Army, again, the force/army thing (Kyle & I demanded that Steve Carell have a starring role!). So in our spare, we dicked around on Photoshop and came up with this.
The movie is obviously called 'Holiday in Cambodia', and it's about these three guys who get drafted and sent off into Vietnam. They end up getting separated from their troop during a surprise attack from the Viet Cong and are left in the dangerous jungles of Southern Vietnam. They battle napalm attacks, giant spiders, drug withdrawal and ferocious tigers before they stumble across the hidden cabin of Communist leader Kim Jong Pol Pot and and accidentally kill him. But after his death, the American forces retreat and they all go back home and so on and so forth.
The three main characters are Ian Verrall (Steve Carell), Brody 'Thirteen' Melbourne (Kearney Jones aka Nick 13) and Blair Mercer (Geoff Kresge). Ian Verrall has Asperger's Syndrome. He is polite and enjoys a good pair of slacks and eating ice cream. He has a habit of stating unrequested or irrelevant information. Ian is not bright, but good hearted and loyal. He was drafted by accident due to a bookkeeping error in the government. He only exists for teh LULZ. That's why we got Steve Carell.
Brody Melbourne is a hustler who sells drugs with his tranny friend known as 'Tweeter' (played by Davey Havok.) He is very politically incorrect and refers to Canada as 'Canuckistan'. He also likes to drop the N-Bomb and other such racial slurs words a lot. He's known as Thirteen on the streets 'cause that's when he first started hustlin'. He was drafted because during a trial, the judge found out that he was in Cadets in high school and send him off to war instead of prison.
Blair Mercer grew up in the streets but rose above and is incredibly smart. He signed up for the Army so he could get a free education. He studies psychology and is the rational one of the group. While being generally firm, but kind, he can, at times, be a little arrogant. He however becomes the rock for the entire group. He's named after my civics teacher, lol.
I know it's never gonna be made, but we had fun coming up with this. We had such a hard time coming up with the title.
